POSITION SUMMARY
As an Automotive Service Technician Mechanic for Big O Tires, you will perform car, truck, and SUV services such as brakes, shocks, struts alignments, oil changes, water pumps, timing belts, and full and complete diagnosis of check engine lights etc. In addition to all other activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide fast and friendly customer service
- Be able to perform a brake inspection
- Be able to diagnose Check engine lights using a scanner and Alldata/identifix
- Be able to perform alignments and be able to inspect all suspension components on a vehicle
- Promote sales through explaining the benefits of service and products
- Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors
- Keep supervisor informed of any maintenance problems and/or any issues that need attention
- Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
- Maintain a clean environment, tools, and equipment, using company guidelines
- Know and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Utilize and perform all duties on the company checklists to meet consistent adherence to policies, procedures, and expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
- ASE Certification (preferred, not mandatory)
- Tools to perform work
- At least 1 years experience working in a mechanic shop
- Availability to work Saturdays (we close at 3:00 on Saturdays)
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer, scanners, and other office productivity machinery
- Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
